Relevance 2027 · Hosted by iPullRank

Code of Conduct

Relevance is built on curiosity, generosity, and respect. This Code of Conduct applies to everyone at the event, on site, at off-site and social events, and online.

Our Commitment

Relevance is a gathering of curious minds, seasoned experts, and future-forward marketers. We’re committed to creating a space that is welcoming, inclusive, and harassment-free for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, disability, age, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion, or technical background.

By attending Relevance, all participants (including attendees, speakers, sponsors, staff, vendors, and volunteers) agree to uphold this Code of Conduct throughout the event, including in-person sessions, off-site events, social events, and online communications.

Expected Behavior

To ensure Relevance is a respectful and collaborative environment, we ask all participants to:

  • Be kind, courteous, and respectful in all interactions.
  • Treat others as they’d want to be treated.
  • Approach conversations with curiosity, openness, and professionalism.
  • Respect boundaries, both physical and social.
  • Use inclusive language: no discriminatory jokes, slurs, or sarcasm.
  • Look out for others and help create a space where everyone feels seen and safe.
  • Follow the instructions of event organizers and venue staff.

Unacceptable Behavior

Harassment of any kind will not be tolerated. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Offensive comments or jokes related to gender, sexual orientation, disability, appearance, body size, race, religion, or age.
  • Deliberate intimidation, stalking, or following.
  • Sustained disruption of talks or other events.
  • Inappropriate or unwelcome sexual attention or physical contact.
  • Aggressive or violent language or conduct.
  • Inappropriate or suggestive remarks, whether in person or online.

Slack Etiquette

Our shared Slack channel is a space for thoughtful connection, not cold pitches. Please be respectful in public channels and direct messages. This is not the place for unsolicited sales outreach. We welcome genuine conversation, collaboration, and curiosity, but any behavior that feels spammy, aggressive, or self-promotional won’t be tolerated.

Participation in Slack is optional. By opting in, you agree to keep things tactful, respectful, and aligned with the spirit of the event.

How to Report a Problem

If you experience or witness behavior that violates this Code of Conduct, please report it as soon as possible. You can:

  • Speak directly with a member of the iPullRank staff or event organizer (identifiable by staff t-shirts and badges).
  • Email relevance.attendees@ipullrank.com (monitored throughout the event).
  • Call or text Emme Chong at 703-609-1230.
  • If the situation is urgent or someone’s safety is in immediate danger, call venue security or dial 911.

What Happens When You Report

When you report an incident:

  • You’ll be treated with respect and confidentiality.
  • We’ll make sure you’re safe and can speak privately.
  • You can bring someone to support you.
  • You’ll never be forced to confront the person involved.
  • We’ll document the incident, including key details like the people involved, time, location, and nature of the behavior.

We’ll take swift and proportionate action, which may include:

  • A verbal or written warning
  • Removal from the event without refund
  • Ban from future iPullRank events
  • Contacting venue security or law enforcement if needed

The alleged offender will be informed of the report and given the opportunity to respond. Our team will ensure that both the complainant and the respondent are treated with fairness, professionalism, and care.

If You’re Not Sure It’s a Problem, Please Tell Us Anyway

You don’t need to have all the details or be certain that a violation occurred. If something feels off, we want to know. Your report could help us protect others and ensure a safer environment for all.
